WHAT IS POTS?
POTS stands for postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, which is a disorder of the autonomic nervous system, also known as dysautonomia. POTS is estimated to impact over 6,000,000 Americans, and millions more around the world. Despite its prevalence, most people have never heard of POTS. Many doctors are also unfamiliar with POTS, which can make getting a diagnosis and proper treatment extremely difficult.
