Why Run? Why Donate?
With over 70 million worldwide affected by dysautonomia, we need your help to make a difference! Dysautonomia (pronounced “dis – oughta – know' – me – uh”) is an umbrella term that includes many disorders that affect the autonomic nervous system. This system controls automatic body functions such as digestion, heart rate, blood pressure, pupil dilation, kidney function and more. Symptoms can be mild to debilitating.
One of the more common forms of dysautonomia is called POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). POTS can impact people of any age or gender, but the majority of patients are women between the ages of 12 and 50. An estimated 1 in 100 teens are impacted. The disability seen in POTS is similar to that of congestive heart failure or COPD, but POTS receives much less research funding. It's time for a change!
So make a difference today by registering or donating to help support Dysautonomia International's research, education, advocacy, awareness & patient empowerment programs!
Online race registration is now closed. You may still register as a Virtual Participant & Event Support through the register button below. Walk-in registration will be available on Sunday for 5K and 1 mile race participants.
Donations are still being accepted!
Thank you!
*Only pre-registered race day participants are guaranteed a race day tshirt.
